Fundraising Evening
The Latin American
Challenge team raised a grand total of £2,783.70 to be split between
The Multiple Sclerosis Society and Rainforest Concern...
On
Saturday 6 May we hosted an evening of entertainment for 400 people in
the Historic Nelson Room of The Trafalgar Tavern, Greenwich with the aim
of raising money for The Multiple Sclerosis Society and
Rainforest Concern. We achieved this through ticket sales and holding an
auction and raffle.
The
evening got underway (after a few technical problems with staging!) with
Michael Dolovich expertly playing the piano. Buddy Holly and the
Cricketers took everyone back to 50s and 60s rock n roll, and the
evening was rounded off with the insurmountable Cedar
Tree.
We
are extremely grateful to The Cedar Tree and Michael Dolovich, who all
gave up their time to perform for the cause. Thanks to Fred, who
did us proud as the Master of Ceremonies. Thanks to Jannicke
Newsham of Julie's Florist who gave up her Saturday to create a
magnificent balloon decoration. Thanks to Sue for the flower
arrangements.
