Beware of a credit card scam in Mazatlan, on the Pacific coast of
Mexico. I
swiped would not
open. A guy suddenly appeared, telling me to pass my credit card under
the door so he could swipe it in order to let me out. I then noticed a
hand written note in Spanish on top of the machine saying
"thanks for using this service. Now get out
if you can!" Luckily for me a travelling companion
who saw what was going on let me out.
